GAY & LESBIAN PSYCHOTHERAPY GROUP
GAY & LESBIAN GROUP
Gays and lesbians can and often do experience the world as an unaccepting and sometimes even hostile place. Not knowing how people may respond to them, some gays and lesbians still feel “in the closet” and segregated, while others may continue to struggle with the remnants of coming out to families and friends.
The Gay and Lesbian Psychotherapy Group is designed for individuals who identify with some of these struggles. It is open to those 25 years of age and older who are looking for a safe, identity affirming environment in which to explore life’s challenges and personal issues. The goals of the group are to facilitate reaching one's fullest potential in life and to understand how the current state of the environment’s response to gay men and lesbians may be impacting them.
Dr. Michael Keren is the group facilitator. He has over thirty years of experience working in the field and an expertise in working with gay and lesbian individuals and groups.
