Ms. Bourgeois combines diverse expertise with a down-to-earth, friendly manner that puts children and adults at ease. In practice since the mid-’90s, she was a child therapist in the New York City school system; counseled children, teens, and adults at both the Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy and the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services in New York City; and counseled domestic-abuse and rape survivors at Victim Services, Inc. in New York City. Ms. Bourgeois received specialized training in sandplay therapy, a rare and powerful therapeutic tool that can enable deep healing in clients of all ages. She approaches healing holistically, integrating both mind and body. She speaks French fluently.
