A grownup kid at heart, Dr. Kesselman has a special rapport with children. He also has expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy, particularly for children and teens with anxiety. He trained at Bellevue Hospital Center and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, both in New York City, and he has a wide range of experience with children, teens, families, and adults. Dr. Kesselman has taught child psychology courses at Bergen College, published research on the treatment of social anxiety disorder, and given presentations to parents and teachers on bullying, teasing, and improving compliance in preschoolers.
