A veteran psychotherapist with more than 45 years of experience, Dr. Lentchner has a deep heart, a direct approach, and an excellent track record of treating clients with addictions and many other challenges. He began his career in several therapeutic communities for people with drug addiction and co-founded Reality House in New York City. Greatly expanding the scope of his practice, he studied with famed psychotherapists Fritz Perls (a codeveloper of Gestalt therapy), Jay Haley (a cofounder of family therapy), and Jim Sacks (a noted psychodramatist). He also became a sports psychologist for professional sports teams and athletes. Dr. Lentchner was on the faculty of the County College of Morris and taught at New York University's graduate program in Rehabilitation Counseling. He directed both The Institute for PsychoIntegrity and SpeakEasy, which offered psychological and transformational seminars.
