Mr. Hanft has earned an unparalleled reputation in the field of adolescent psychology and is highly sought after for his expertise. During his two decades in practice, he has successfully counseled teens and young adults considered “tough cases” and has treated self-injuring clients referred by other therapists. He has established good relationships with the professionals at high schools and colleges in New Jersey and elsewhere. Previously Mr. Hanft was director of adolescent partial hospitalization and outpatient services at a psychiatric day treatment center in Pennsylvania. He has supervised other psychotherapists, trained interns, and given numerous presentations on a variety of psychological topics.
